Students have built a mathematical and graphical model of constant velocity motion. What is missing…a diagram, we should also be able to model motion in a diagrammatical fashion.
I give you the motion map:
The motion map is a strobe-effect diagram that can clearly communicate position change, time, velocity, and acceleration(later). Student catch on quite quickly and find them most useful when attempting to draw a velocity/time graph when given a position/time graph (or vice versa).
